The Children’s Pavilion is an 18-bed unit which serves children and adolescents ages 5-17 who require an inpatient level of mental health treatment. The Social Worker provides comprehensive psycho-social assessment, intervention, management, support, and assess for discharge planning and aftercare needs of the at-risk patient population and their families. In addition, the social worker addresses social determinants of health and works collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team. Other assigned duties and tasks based upon operational needs.
M.S.W from a Social Work program accredited by the Council on Social Work (CSWE); M.S.W., L.M.S.W., L.C.S.W. or eligible, 3 years relevant post-master's experience (preferably in a hospital and/or healthcare environment) required. New M.S.W. graduates who are L.M.S.W. eligible will be considered for appointment to entry-level (SL2) positions at a commensurate salary after obtaining a Limited Permit. Incumbent must obtain L.M.S.W. within 12 months of receipt of the limited permit.
Previous knowledge and experience with the psychiatric population, suicide interventions, and OMH regulations.
Monday-Friday, days with occasional on-call/holiday coverage on rotation based on operational needs
