The Director of Nursing assumes overall responsibility for the implementation of the vision, mission, plans and standards of the organization and patient care services within their defined areas of responsibility. Specific duties include management and evaluation of clinical operations, customer and staff satisfaction, quality management, standards, certification and accreditation activities, professional practice activities, nursing staff education, and developing community relationships. Reports to the Executive Director or Deputy Director of Nursing with latitude for initiative and independent judgment.

Minimum Qualifications:

NYS licensed/registered or eligible RN required. Minimum of 7 years post-acute care RN experience including 5 years of nursing management experience in a health care environment required. BSN and Master's degree in Nursing or health-related field required. Experience should include relationships with medical staff, health planning, quality management, human resource development, and management required. Effective leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills are required. CPR-BLS certification is required by the time of appointment. Obtain nurse executive certification within 2 years of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

MBA or master's in healthcare administration. Project management, capital planning, and health care data analytics preferred. Experience within Endoscopy, Ambulatory Procedures, One Day Stay, Dialysis, Hyperbaric therapy, Wound Center, Radiology, Vascular Access and Procedural Float pool.
