Under general supervision, performs routine diagnostic ultrasound procedures and may have individual responsibility for training and leading the work of other employees, with the knowledge, intensity and responsibilities as specified on the attached Job Description/Performance Review. To identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age specific needs. Willingly performs other duties as requested.
Graduate of an approved US Department of Education Ultrasound/Imaging program. RDMS certified in Abdomen and OB/GYN required. A minimum of five years of progressive technical experience. Current CPR-BLS certification required by time of appointment.
*New graduates who are not currently RDMS certified in OB/GYN & Abdomen will be required to become certified within 1 year of appointment. Candidates with 1 year or more ultrasound sonographer experience will be considered for appointment to a higher level at a commensurate salary.
B.S. preferred. Pediatric experience preferred.
40 hrs/week; Specific days/hours to be determined. May be required to work weekends and holidays on a rotational basis. Overtime may be required based on departmental needs.
