The Behavior Technician fulfills objectives within the mission of the Golisano Center for Special Needs. The Patient Activities Coordinator designs and leads engaging, therapeutic activities aligned with patients IEP goals and behavioral treatment plans. They collaborate with clinical teams to ensure activities support skill development in areas like communication, social interaction, and self-regulation. The role includes training and guiding direct care staff, creating activities, and maintaining a safe, inclusive environment. Additionally, the coordinator documents patient progress and serves as a liaison for families and school districts regarding program activities.
Bachelors degree in Psychology, Education, Child Development, Recreational Therapy, Applied Behavior Analysis, or a related field.
Understanding of IEP goals and ABA principles. 1 or more year of experience with individuals of this patient population in clinical, educational, or related setting.
