Job Summary:
The Cardiology Clinic Team Leader will manage daily front end duties by overseeing multiple satellite cardiology clinics. This person will work with the Practice Manager, Nurse Managers and staff to ensure daily duties are completed in a timely manner. This person will also work closely with the Practice Manager and Cardiology Division Chief implementing new process improvement. Will need to travel to clinics for coverage as needed. Ability to multitask and prioritize are a must.
- Collaborates with Practice Manager to ensure clinic policies are followed
- Maintain and monitor cardiology clinic work queues
- Tracks and schedules patient appointments according division guidelines
- Create and manage provider templates
- Monitors clinic confirmation calls
- Process time off requests
- ADP timecard approval
- Train staff
- Review new patient referrals and disseminates appropriately
- Assist with division process improvements
- Liaison between cardiology state and MSG clinics
- Chart Abstraction/Prep
- Travel to regional cardiology clinics
- Patient registration and pre-registration
- Maintain knowledge of appropriate billing and coverage guidelines
- Other duties as assigned
Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate field and 2 years related experience. Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:Medical Office Assistant experience including one year experience directly related to the medical field with current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross preferred & must be able to multitask
Work Days:Monday - Friday Daytime Hours
