The Outpatient Pharmacy Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing retail pharmacy 3rd party accounts receivable reconciliation. This will include but is not limited to: pursing collection activities, assisting with preparing monthly statements, invoicing and managing bankruptcy notices. This position will be the primary point person for the A/R system providing the necessary reports and processing of claims to reconcile pharmacy claims to 3rd party payments. This includes alerting management of trends with incorrect reimbursements, unfavorable contract terms, and contract provisions affecting pharmacy reimbursement. Additionally, this position will participate in routine pharmacy compliance audits and internal monitoring focusing on compliance and proper documentation.
Five (5) years of healthcare billing/accounts receivable experience required. Will also consider candidates with an Associates degree in business, finance, accounting or related field and three (3) years of healthcare billing/accounts receivable experience or Bachelors Degree in in business, finance, accounting or related field and one (1) year of healthcare billing/accounts receivable experience. Excellent written/oral communication, organizational and interpersonal skills required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
