How this position makes a difference:
This position is responsible for performing a variety of duties in support of the maintenance of buildings, facilities, and grounds. Also, this position is responsible for a variety of cleaning duties, a variety of other building maintenance work, and related duties as assigned.
Your responsibilities:
- Sweep and mop floors, clean windows; clean restrooms and fixtures; clean and maintains lunch and break rooms.
- Strip and wax tiled floors as required; vacuum, buff and wax floors.
- Replace light bulbs as needed.
- Clean offices, including dusting desks and other areas.
- Dispose of the trash and operate trash compactor; dispose of cardboard and operate cardboard bailer.
- Assist in moving furniture as required or requested.
- Perform external facility work as required or requested, to include lawn work and snow removal. Ensures sidewalks are kept clear and snow melt is placed along the walkways to keep it safe for anyone who enters or leaves the building.
- Perform pest control activities as required or requested.
- Awareness/knowledge of CGMP standards and their impact on the plant as well as individual departments.
- Work with team to solve issues.
- Maintain maintenance / cleaning documentation.
- Assist with special projects as required or requested.
- Promote a safe and harmonious work environment.
- Maintain compliance with SOPs, GMPs, and all company policies.
- Other duties as assigned or required.
You bring these qualities:
- High school diploma or equivalent; one or more years previous work experience in a hospital or manufacturing environment or doing sanitation/custodial work.
- Experience working in a production environment, ideally in a light-industrial setting.
- Knowledge and skill in operating various sanitation/custodial equipment.
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures, preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of and compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) regulations, preferred but not required.
- Skill in handling several tasks at the same time, or within a given time frame.
- Advanced Problem Safety Sensitivity; the ability to recognize a safety issue or potential safety issue.
- Skill to use time management techniques in personal daily tasks and that of others.
- Skill in attention to detail and focus on quality and accuracy.
- Skill in communicating with coworkers, management team members, and other individuals in a courteous and professional manner.
- Skill in math with an understanding of measurements and conversions.
- Skill in recognizing deviations from procedures and anomalies, and immediately communicating.
- Ability to apply critical thinking.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all internal and external information and processes.
- Ability to follow personal hygiene standards/procedures according to SOP.
- Ability to wear protective attire as required and don gowning materials in correct order per SOP.
- Ability to follow all appropriate SOPs and safety procedures per company guidelines.
