Retail Marketing Manager
L. & J.G. Stickley, Inc., a heritage American furniture brand with 125 years of history, is seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Retail Marketing Manager to lead our retail showroom marketing initiatives. This individual will focus on optimizing campaigns and driving growth for our company-owned showrooms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail marketing, exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for leveraging insights to achieve measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
Growth & Campaign Management
- Develop and execute comprehensive retail marketing strategies to increase showroom traffic, enhance customer engagement, and boost sales.
- Identify new ways to reach prospective customers through untapped channels and opportunities.
- Conduct market research to understand consumer behavior, competitive landscapes, and industry trends, applying insights to define and refine customer personas.
- Leverage retail marketing insights to inform Dealer, E-commerce, and B2B channel strategies as needed, aligning efforts with broader business objectives.
Performance Measurement & Reporting
- Implement frameworks and processes to manage and analyze marketing campaigns, ensuring all efforts are measurable and scalable.
- Analyze campaign performance using tools like Power BI, providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Analyze sales data, customer behavior, and campaign performance to optimize strategies.
- Evaluate media spend and recommend adjustments to optimize ROI.
Strategic Collaboration
- Cultivate and manage external agency relationships to ensure alignment with retail marketing objectives and effective execution.
- Coordinate marketing efforts with retail team to offer compelling promotions, such as discounts, financing offers, or delivery incentives, while ensuring the merchandising mix meets customer needs and enhances overall showroom appeal.
- Coordinate marketing efforts with retail team and external partners to create compelling in-store promotions, displays, and campaigns that align with brand standards and customer experience goals.
Budget and Pricing Adherence
- Manage budgets for traditional and digital media, including direct mail, TV, OTT, and retargeting.
- Optimize media and promotional budgets to align with actual sales performance, ensuring resource allocation reflects financial realities.
- Review and approve media invoices, ensuring accuracy, and reconcile monthly credit card statements.
- Understand and uphold iMAP and MAP policies to ensure pricing rules are followed in all marketing materials and campaigns.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- 10+ years of marketing experience, including 5+ years in retail marketing with a focus on analytics and performance.
- Proven ability to develop innovative and effective retail campaigns.
- Strong understanding of retail operations, merchandising, and customer behavior.
- Experience in media buying and agency collaboration, including planning, budgeting, and performance evaluation.
- Advanced skills in Excel (including data analysis, Gantt charts, and graphs) and proficiency in Power BI.
- Exceptional organizational, time management, and project management skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across teams.
- Passion for retail and a customer-centric mindset.
Working Conditions
Full-time role based in-office with occasional travel in Upstate NY and the Northeast region.
