Furniture Quality Inspector & Prep Technician

We have an opening for a Quality Inspector & Prep Technician at our Manlius, NY facility.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Furniture Quality Inspector & Prep Technician to join our team in Manlius, NY. In this role, you'll inspect, repair, and prepare high-end furniture for delivery, ensuring every piece meets our exceptional quality standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Inspect finished furniture for quality and craftsmanship.
- Perform minor to intermediate repairs (e.g., touch-ups, burn-ins).
- Confirm model, finish, and accessories match production tickets.
- Package and tag furniture for delivery using company procedures.
- Operate tools such as sanders, drills, stain bottles, and more.
- Communicate and document quality concerns using our ERP system.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and submit reports to supervisors.
Essential Knowledge/Skills:
- Experience in furniture, woodworking, or quality control preferred.
- Ability to identify wood species (Cherry, Mahogany, Oak, etc.).
- Comfortable using hand tools and repair materials.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship.
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to read and follow production tickets and instructions.
