Forklift Operator
The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating material‑handling equipment to support production, loading and inventory. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
Job Responsibilities:
- Read and Interpret part drawings.
- Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as adding, counting, subtracting, multiplying, dividing and knowledge of weights and measure, utilize measuring tools such as tape measures and other measuring devices to sufficiently handle job tasks
- Inspect parts for quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Maintain powered industrial truck training/licensing for material handling and recertify every 3 years.
- Operate material handling equipment including but not limited to forklifts, side loaders, scissor lifts, and pallet movers.
- Load and unload tractor trailers and plan the layout and maintenance of lumber storage and maintain inventory procedures.
- Ensure safety standards are maintained at all times and that equipment operation is conducted based on established operating procedures
- Ability to operate facility equipment as required in assigned area
- Physically able to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, lift, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, handle and move items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Perform other duties as assigned
