RIP Line Operator
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate a computerized RIP saw to cut and prepare furniture parts.
- Identify and work with wood species like Cherry, Mahogany, Oak, Maple, Birch, and Veneers.
- Read and interpret production tickets and part drawings.
- Inspect parts for quality and accuracy.
- Perform and log preventive maintenance.
- Set up and operate machines safely and efficiently.
Essential Knowledge/Skills:
- Experience in woodworking or manufacturing preferred (but not required - we'll train the right person!)
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and safety.
- Comfortable standing, bending, and moving throughout the shift.
- Move objects up to and exceeding 200 pounds with reasonable accommodations.
- Able to wear all necessary personal protective equipment to perform job functions.
- Physically able to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, lift, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, handle and move items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Visual acuity corrected to perform job functions. Ability to distinguish color to perform job functions.
