POSITION SUMMARY:
The Security Guard maintains a safe and secure environment for all employees, patients, visitors and physical properties according to policies and procedures. Welcomes patients and visitors, provides directions and information.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
NYS certification as Security Guard required. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of two years security experience highly desirable. Valid New York State Driver’s License. Must have Basic Life Support at the time of hire or within two (2) weeks after hire. Experience with 2-way radio communications preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ambulatory – 95%
Sedentary- 5%
Subject to stress and fatigue.
Requires manual and finger dexterity and eye hand coordination when working with equipment.
Subject to repeated bending, squatting and stooping and lifting up to 80lbs.
Requires corrected vision and hearing within normal range.
