We are looking for a full-time registered nurse in the recovery room at our state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center Specialists One-Day Surgery Center in North Syracuse, NY.
Full time: Monday through Friday, 10 AM - 6:30 PM OR 1 PM - 9:30 PM shifts available
Job Description
- Acts as a prep nurse and recovery room nurse for patients undergoing orthopedic surgery
- IV insertion in preparation for the procedure
- Discharge teaching
- Maintains a safe environment for the patient
- Pre-op and post-op patient phone calls, as needed
- Works as a team player with procedural MD’s, anesthesia department, PA's, LPN’s, radiation technologists, and other ancillary staff
- Safely utilizes variety of procedural equipment
- Other duties as assigned
- Experience preferred, but not mandatory
- Current RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS certification within one year
Job Types: Full-time
Pay Range: Salary: $31.00 - $42.00 per hour
