Work Week: Full Time - 5 days per week

Job Responsibilities:
Supervision of RN’s, LPN’s and MA’s, including scheduling, managing time off requests and addressing any disciplinary issues, review and completion of timecards and performance evaluations.
Communicate with the Clinical Staffing manager to ensure adequate staffing is available as needed. Floats staff to other sites as needed.
Checks schedules and organizes patient flow. Post daily schedules in the clinical area. Provides support to clinical staff as needed.
Daily group communication with on-site clinical staff, front office staff and providers to ensure a smooth patient flow through the office and that quality customer service is provided to patients.
Identifies, analyzes, and resolves patient problems with clinical and front office staff.

Triage:
- Speaks directly to patients to assess what is needed, determines the level of urgency.
- Manages call to an appropriate conclusion.
- Documents the verbal interaction with the patient/caller and any instructions given.
- All triage tasks are read prior to departure at the end of the day.
- Calls assessed as urgent are responded to within 30 minutes and non-urgent calls in a timely manner.
- Ensures appointment preferences are given to patients in emergency situations
- Manages patients with Coumadin by evaluating labs and adjusting doses per physician protocol.
Provides nursing care to patients as ordered. Performs nurse visits and administers treatments in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards.
Patient care responsibilities which may include rooming and/or accompanying patients to exam/procedure room; assisting patients as needed with walking, transferring, preparing for exam. Collecting patient history; performing screenings per provider guidelines; assisting physicians/nurses with examinations, treatments, and various procedures. Performs wound care, dressing changes, suture and staple removal and casting/splinting as required.
- Promotes wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advise/instructions
- Enter prescriptions per request of physician but must be reviewed and signed by provider. The NYS HCS is reviewed prior to entering any narcotic prescriptions.
- Non-narcotic prescriptions are e-prescribed to pharmacies per physician orders.
- Ensure that staff adequately stock and clean exam rooms at completion of each session.
- Ensures that staff collects instruments and ensures they are cleaned, wrapped, autoclaved and properly cared for daily.
- Adheres to infection control/safety guidelines and confidentiality policies.
- Maintains patient confidentiality.
- Ensures DME products dispensed are documented in the absence of the DME coordinator.
- Assists in preparing patients for surgery by reviewing pre-op paperwork to include labs and med clearances and that any required imaging studies are available.
- Attends bi-weekly Site Supervisor meetings.
- Inventories and monitors level of supplies and orders as needed.
- Notify the Facility Maintenance Officer of any building issues requiring attention or repair.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:
RN license, BSN desired. Completion of accredited state RN program. Current RN license and CPR certification required.
EXPERIENCE:
Three to five years’ experience in professional nursing desired, orthopedic experience preferred. Management experience desired.
Pay Range: $75,000 and up experience dependent
