Job Description | The Communications Department at Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in the area of communications law beginning in fall 2024. Candidates with experience in the practice of communications law are encouraged to apply. Successful candidates will demonstrate an interest in working with a diverse group of students from the undergraduate to the doctoral level. Successful candidates should expect a variety of service duties, including academic and career advising of undergraduate and graduate students; department, school and university committee service; and service to the field. |

In addition, we offer a variety of conceptual and practical undergraduate courses that fall outside the majors as well as the advanced theory and methods courses for the Media Studies master’s and doctoral programs. The Communications department has an array of award-winning scholars in diverse areas such as media & DEI; communications law; and mediated politics, and our faculty train emerging scholars in the School’s doctoral program.
