Job Description | DSP 600 Cripping Social Justice, Diversity, and Inclusion (3 credits) . This course explores how dis/ability is situated in larger conversations of diversity, equity, and social justice. Through an intersectional lens, we will critique when and how dis/ability is included or excluded from initiatives and policies in educational and other contexts. We will also work toward imagining and creating discourses of diversity, equity, and social justice where dis/ability perspectives are essential. |
Qualifications | PhD in Disability Studies or closely related field with focus on disability studies. (ABD will be considered) |
Job Specific Qualifications | Experience with on-line teaching strongly preferred. College-level teaching experience preferred |
Responsibilities | Develop/update the course syllabus in accordance with SOE standards Ordering in advance books and materials for students in the class to purchase on or before the first day of classes Preparing for classes Holding office hours each week for students in the class and others Supervising the class student’s tutoring activities Grading in a timely manner student assignments and examinations for the course Completing CAEP competency assessment reports (if required) Turning in mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University standards |
