Job Description | The mid-level practitioner is a 9-month full-time academic year position responsible for providing primary care to the SU student population under the supervision of the Medical Director. Duties include assessment, diagnoses, treatment and follow up for common primary care diagnosis’ seen in college health. The mid-level practitioner will refer to specialists and outside medical facilities when necessary. The mid-level practitioner will consult with the Medical Director and collaborate with other practitioners as needed, to assure comprehensive care is provided. The mid-level practitioner will engage in campus health promotion and medical education activities. When possible, the mid-level practitioner will show a willingness to precept PA/NP students and/or collaborate with faculty/staff/students on clinical projects. This position should always be expanding his/her knowledge base and stay up-to-date on current best practices, by participating in relevant continuing education. Participation in provider meetings and serving on relevant committees is expected. Work well with other Barnes Center, Health staff members. Maintain current licensure/certification. |
