Job Description | This position provides strategic direction, oversight, and implementation of fundraising for the metro NY area. They develop, plan, and implement all phases of the metro NY regional giving program including the acquisition, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of donors and prospects across all external constituencies. The role manages a team of gift officers and administration, providing innovative leadership, monitoring progress toward individual/team goals, and creating a culture of collaboration and trust that extends beyond the NYC based team to the broader team of partners across AEA and the University. Extensive collaboration is important as the role works closely with campus-based fundraising and academic units to fulfill unit and divisional goals and works in partnership with staff of Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving, special events, and the Office of Multicultural Advancement based in the region to leverage and support programming opportunities developed to strengthen and deepen relationships with graduates across all life stages. The Executive Director serves on the leadership team of Executive Directors for the Central Giving Team and partners closely with these colleagues to help strengthen the pipeline of prospects. They also manage a personal portfolio of major and principal gift prospects and donors from the region partnering with AEA and school/college leadership on these high-capacity prospects. |
