Job Description | Exercise some judgment to comply with instructions and established procedures in performing a sequence of operations. |
Education and Experience | High school education and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience. One year of experience in food services. Must have a valid driver’s license. |

Responsibilities | Assist with the physical arrangement for functions and events, such as setting up stands, tables, chairs, and table settings. Gather food, equipment and supplies for delivery to functions. Load, unload and operate vans and trucks used in delivering food and supplies to campus. Receive and check deliveries against invoices and move items to proper sites. Rotate stock for proper usage. Clean up after functions including washing and storing dishes and packing up unused food and supplies. Assist in preparation and serving of food when necessary. Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly area by cleaning and maintaining stands, vending rooms, loading docks, freezers, coolers, storeroom and storage areas. Take inventory. |
Physical Requirements | •Standing 85% – 100% of the shift •Frequent bending at the waist; able to bend to below the knee •Frequent stooping and/or crouching •Frequent walking back and forth throughout the counter area and stock room and food service areas •Frequent twisting and bending of head, neck, and torso •Full range of arm movement (extension, twisting, and bending of arm and shoulder, reaching overhead, stirring and mixing, wiping, etc.) •Wrist and finger dexterity (i.e. ability to use tongs, scissors) •Able to lift up to 50lbs from the floor to waist height •Able to lift up to 30 lbs. overhead •Able to push and pull up to 250 lbs. •Wrist and finger dexterity (i.e. ability to use tongs, scissors, pen, fine motor skills, press buttons for data entry on computer, calculator, electronic K5 and other beverage machines etc.) •Listening to and responding to customer and staff inquiries •Visual and cognitive capability sufficient to read and follow instructions, recipes etc. |
Tools/Equipment | Operate a variety of equipment including truck, van, electric pallet jack, beer/soda line cleaner, dishwasher, food slicer, etc. |
