Job Description
To exercise some judgment to comply with safety and sanitation regulations and computerized Food Service System.
Education and Experience
Ability to read, write, do simple math, use calculator, food thermometer, communicate clearly and follow instructions is necessary.

Responsibilities
Maintain storage areas in clean and orderly condition (loading docks, dumpster, freezers, storeroom areas, copiers, etc.)

Rotate and date stock so that items are used before expiration.

Monitor usage, take inventory, and report to supervisor to keep inventory at predetermined level.

Check deliveries against order forms and delivery documents.

Refer all problems with deliveries to supervisor.

Move items from storage areas to kitchen as directed.

Maintain the highest standards of sanitation to prevent contamination or other loss of food.

Follow recycling guidelines as put forth by government regulations.

Record temperatures for freezers and coolers.

Work as food handler or non-food handler as required.
Physical Requirements
•Standing 85% – 100% of the shift
•Frequent bending at the waist; able to bend to below the knee; frequent twisting of head neck and torso
•Frequent stooping and/or crouching
•Frequent walking back and forth in the storage areas
•Frequent twisting and bending of head, neck, and torso
•Full range of arm movement (extension, twisting, and bending of arm and shoulder, reaching overhead
•Frequently lift items that weigh up to 50 lbs; ability to lift from overhead items weighing up to 50 pounds; load and unload items weighing up to 50 lbs
•Able to push and pull carts/pallets carrying up to 500 lbs
•Wrist and finger dexterity (i.e. ability to use box cutters, scissors, pens; fine motor and tactile skills, including typing or touch screen data entry on computer, calculator, etc.)
•May work in conditions of elevated heat and cold, and outside in inclement weather
•Periodically work on ladders or at other elevated heights
•May have exposure to and handling of cleaning products,organic waste, dust
