| Job Description | Follow instructions and established procedures to perform a variety of manual labor work. |
| Education and Experience | The ability to read, write and follow instructions. |
| Skills and Knowledge | The ability to read, write and follow instructions is required. Must be available to work overtime. Must possess a valid NYS driver’s license and pass Syracuse University driver’s safety course |
| Responsibilities | Dig holes for shrubs and trees; rake dirt, grass, leaves and clean up litter from lawns and shrubs. Remove snow and ice and apply salt as needed. Load trucks with dirt, leaves, rubbish, etc. Move furniture, office equipment; set up tables, chairs and scaffolds, etc. for events. Load materials and equipment on trucks for transport to work areas. Assist trades by carrying material, operating jackhammer and digging holes. May work on road repair. |
| Physical Requirements | Repetitive standing, bending, stooping, crawling, walking, daily lifting of items that weigh up to 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, and working in extreme outdoor temperatures. |
| Tools/Equipment | Operate hand power tools such as lawn mowers, snow blowers, weed trimmers, jackhammers, etc. Use a variety of hand tools including shovels, rakes, etc. |
