| Job Description | The purpose of the psychiatric nurse practitioner is to evaluate, diagnose, and treat students with mental health concerns. Psychiatric evaluations and ongoing pharmacotherapy or medication management are the primary responsibilities. The psychiatric nurse practitioner will work collaboratively with SU mental health counselors and medical providers to coordinate the care of students with mental health needs. Other duties include facilitating referrals, collaborating with outside providers, participation in a chart review process, assisting with psychiatric care protocols and serving on committees as assigned, as well as possible on-call duties. |
