At Thompson & Johnson Equipment, our Shipping & Receiving department plays a key role in keeping our business running smoothly. From incoming inventory to outgoing shipments, you help ensure the right parts get to the right place—on time.

We’re looking for an experienced Shipping & Receiving Specialist to join our Syracuse Parts Department and support both internal and external customers.

What You’ll Do

Receive incoming inventory and verify accuracy against purchase orders and packing slips
Inspect shipments for damage and report discrepancies
Prepare and package outgoing orders for efficient, damage-free delivery
Operate forklift and pallet jack to load, unload, and move materials
Label and tag materials for inventory or special orders
Maintain accurate inventory records and support parts system updates
Assist with customer and technician parts needs, including pickups and deliveries
Operate tire pressing machine, including pressing tires

What You Bring

High school diploma or equivalent
Prior shipping/receiving or warehouse experience preferred
Experience with AS400, Tinnacity, or UPS software is a plus
Ability to operate (or willingness to learn) forklift and material handling equipment
Strong attention to detail and organization skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Valid driver’s license

$21 – $24/hour based on experience
Consistent schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Work Environment

This is a physical role requiring lifting, climbing, and working with full-body motion throughout the day. Must be able to lift up to 150 lbs occasionally and 50 lbs frequently.
