Accounting Team Leader

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Accounting Team Leader to join our Finance team in Strzelin. If you are ready to take ownership of accounting operations, lead a motivated team, and contribute to driving continuous improvement in a dynamic, international environment — we want to meet you.
About the Role
As an Accounting Team Leader, you’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of our accounting team responsible for Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), and General Ledger (GL) processes. You’ll ensure that financial activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time — while supporting local business stakeholders and maintaining alignment with corporate reporting standards.
You’ll also play a key role in developing your team, fostering a culture of learning, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate daily accounting operations, ensuring proper coverage for all critical tasks
Supervise and support the A/P, A/R, and commissions processes, including workflow monitoring and resource planning
Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss reports
Support tax audits, returns, and statutory reporting requirements
Identify and resolve reporting system issues in collaboration with the Tech Team
Prepare and review monthly corporate reports, reconciliations, and adjustments in line with company standards
Drive compliance with accounting standards and contribute to process improvements
Coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing, engaged accounting team
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders
Manage escalations and deliver effective, timely solutions
What We’re Looking For
8+ years of progressive experience in accounting, including 2+ years in a leadership role
Strong understanding of accounting principles, auditing practices, and reporting standards
Advanced Excel and Word proficiency
Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
Proven ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across teams
A proactive mindset and eagerness to continuously develop both technical and leadership skills
