Job Summary:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all production activities within the organization. The role includes managing a team of production employees, developing and implementing production procedures, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The Production Supervisor conducts regular audits, analyzes production data, and collaborates with other departments to resolve issues and implement continuous improvements. Key responsibilities also include managing production documentation, ensuring employee training and development, and reporting production performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Leading and developing the production team (30+ direct reports, including Production Leaders): providing guidance, motivation, and conflict resolution to achieve goals,
Planning and managing production schedules, ensuring efficient workflow and on-time execution,
Coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth operations and new product implementations; participating in departmental and cross‑functional meetings,
Monitoring performance and processes, analyzing data, and implementing improvements,
Ensuring quality compliance through inspections, audits, and corrective actions,
Cost control and budget management, identifying savings opportunities and recommending equipment upgrades,
Communicating and reporting on production progress, issues, and KPI performance.
Key Competencies:
Minimum 2 years of experience in a production management role, or equivalent experience providing a solid understanding of essential principles and concepts,
Knowledge of Lean operational tools,
Excellent organizational and time‑management skills,
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities,
Effective communication and interpersonal skills,
Knowledge of inventory management systems and software (SAP preferred),
Preferred: higher education in management, logistics, or related fields.
