- Salary Range – $88,000-$116,500 per year

Job Overview
The Milk Procurement Manager plays a key role in Byrne’s supply chain. This includes focusing on retaining current milk suppliers while sourcing new milk suppliers to support company growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and expand the farm supplier network by developing genuine relationships with local dairy farms, understanding their operational needs and challenges, and identifying new dairy farm sources.
- Actively maintain and grow relationships with existing milk suppliers through consistent engagement, regular communication, and demonstrated commitment to farmer success, serving as the trusted advisor and primary contact for our supplier base.
- Coordinate regular farm visits and maintain consistent communication with suppliers to understand production challenges and identify opportunities to support farm efficiency, animal welfare, and product quality improvements.
- Partner with forecasting, procurement, and scheduling teams to ensure milk supply meets manufacturing and sales needs.
- Partner with farm inspectors and regulatory officials to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, providing milk suppliers with resources and guidance to maintain and improve their operations.
- Serve as a backup to the farm inspectors.
- Maintain compliance with Grade “A” Pasteurized Milk Ordinance.
- Maintain compliance with NYS Department of Agriculture & Milk Ordinance.
- Own and present department-relevant KPIs, focusing on value-added data.
- Other duties as assigned.
Min. Qualifications
- 3+ years in managing business processes and programs.
- 3+ years of demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, solve problems collaboratively, and prepare reports and data analysis for internal teams and stakeholders.
- Preferred experience with purchasing, demand planning, inventory management, or cost analysis; familiarity with regulatory compliance and quality standards in food, agriculture, or a related industry is a plus.
- Preferred experience managing vendor relationships, contracts, or supplier operations in any industry, with ability to track and report on operational metrics and performance data.
- Travel required.
