Job Overview
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk plays a key role in executing assigned warehouse tasks. This includes maintaining effective relationships with the account representatives, Inventory, CLMs, Transportation, OTR Drivers, RPA, Quality, Brokers, and site leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain effective relationships with the account representatives, Inventory, CLMs, Transportation, OTR Drivers, RPA, Quality, Brokers, and site leadership.
- Coordinate the release of products from the production facilities lab.
- Assist with the voids, pushes, order adjustments, and added orders.
- Promote and provide excellent customer service to all customers.
- Work with distribution center operations to ensure the achievement of OTIF.
- Monitor specific supply chain-based performance measurement systems.
- Audit documentation daily.
- Ensure all visitors and drivers are signing in and out.
- Assist Warehouse Leadership with the development and maintenance of warehouse procedure documentation.
- Communicate with appropriate supervisors to report errors/mistakes being made by employees. Furnish training when necessary.
- Ensure all documents are filed properly and promptly.
- Maintain load schedule and report needed data to spreadsheets.
- Ensure all paperwork is filled out properly for the loaders. (coversheets & driver sheets) Ensure all drivers are filling out shipping BOLs fully and properly.
- Assign doors to drivers to be loaded, and ensure priority is used.
- Ability to use Oracle advanced functions to edit sales orders and investigate employee errors.
- Ability to report data for OTIF, CHEP, Quality, and all other performance metrics needed promptly.
- Proper scanning and filing of receivers to AP promptly.
- Aids and supports all areas in the production facility as assigned by supervisor/lead and begins to train and build competence on key areas in production such as fillers, forklifts, and production lines.
Min. Qualifications
- Minimum of GED or High School Diploma. An AAS or BA/BS in Business Administration or related field is preferred.
- Emphasis on Supply Chain Management preferred.
- At least 1 year of office experience
