Job Overview
The Warehouse Supervisor plays a key role in executing assigned Warehouse tasks. This includes directing the warehouse team in accomplishing specified tasks set by facility management and oversees the training of warehouse personnel aligned with warehouse protocol.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee training of warehouse personnel in warehouse equipment, protocol, and systems (i.e., forklifts, Inventory and Receipt Adjustments, palletizer).
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and document control practices and filing of product movement within the warehouse (inventory).
- Train warehouse personnel in warehouse equipment, protocol, and systems (i.e. material handling equipment, cycle counts, WMS.)
- Maintain inventory accuracy report, identifying and coordinating cycle count needs.
- Audit visual warehouse inventories for accuracy.
- Audit End-of-month inventories upon completion of counts in WMS.
- Work directly with Production/Processing to achieve inventory accuracy in all departments.
- Ensure accurate record keeping and document control of associated documents to the Warehouse Inventory Operator role.
- Tour the warehouse floor to identify products for location, rotation, quality, code, and quantity.
- Audit the work of warehouse personnel to ensure accuracy, quality, and timely completion of work.
- Ensure completion of performance evaluations and merit increase forms and provide recommendations for pay adjustments, promotions, and /or disciplinary action while working with Warehouse Leads & Seniors.
- Communicate with the Warehouse Manager about any potential or existing problems that could adversely affect the load schedule or customer satisfaction.
- Conduct periodic warehouse walks to inspect products, racking, and equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) for safety, damage, and/or shrinkage.
- Monitor and coordinate daily job tasks accordingly with warehouse personnel.
- Assist inbound carriers by coordinating the offload of all FTL and LTL deliveries.
- Communicates effectively between shifts and other departments – verbally and in writing.
Min. Qualifications
- A minimum of GED or High School Diploma is required.
- Direct warehouse experience of 4+ years is required.
- Must be able to operate all PIT— e.g., forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks (manual/electric.)
