- Salary Range – $88,000 - $116,500 per year

Job Overview
The Aseptic Quality Manager plays a key role in executing assigned Quality tasks. This includes providing strategic direction for the implementation and maintenance of quality systems throughout the aseptic areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Primary point of contact for FDA / regulatory agencies, as well as the processing authority for all aseptic process and procedural requirements
- Leads direct reports managing staff in the areas of goal setting, training, teamwork, and development.
- Support Operations and Manufacturing Services in assuring company quality standards are met and aseptic run parameters are set & followed.
- Accountable for assuring aseptic processing and packaging requirements are adhered to (time, temperature, pressure, ext. run, CIP, data recording, carton integrity verifications and trending, stress room samples & testing and retention sample program).
- Accountable for building, training, and enforcing aseptic food safety plans and HACCP program for the site.
- Demonstrate the ability to conduct equipment calibrations and troubleshooting as needed.
- Establish finished product target weights, verification checks, and conformance to regulatory requirements to comply with weights and measures of finished food products.
- High level of proficiency pertaining to testing equipment, and other lab equipment, as well as being the SME for Quality procedures and policies for all aseptic processes.
- Capable of performing preventive maintenance and validation testing on all lab equipment.
- Review products and assess eligibility for product release in accordance with company policy.
- Proficient at completing gram stains, direct microbial counts and has an in-depth understanding of Dairy microbiology.
- Conduct investigative research on products, materials and/or procedures that pertain to aseptic deviations. Implements corrective and preventive actions as needed.
- Review, trend, and implement corrective and preventive actions pertaining to environmental sample testing and analytical lab result reporting for the aseptic area.
- Investigate, trend, reply to consumer complaints that are specific to the site.
- Review and trend aseptic data to determine product conformance to specifications, implement corrective and preventive actions as needed.
- Maintain and demonstrate a high level of professional attitude and appearance at all times. Be able to work closely with others without disputes.
- Set up documentation and sterile sampling for sample shipments. Utilize proper shipping methods.
- Maintain compliance with S.Q.F. Certification including finalizing procedure and policy for the site.
- Support continuous improvement activities.
- Applies and implements 5s methodology (housekeeping) in all Quality work areas.
- Troubleshooting, isolating problems, and repairing of lab equipment as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and partake in assigned cleaning duties as scheduled.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Min. Qualifications
- Minimum of AS/AAS is required.
- BS degree in science related discipline (biology, food processing, chemistry, dairy management, etc.) preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of dairy or related aseptic beverage experience required.
- 2 years of Supervisory experience preferred.
- Completion of Better Process School preferred (required completion upon accepting this role)
