This is an on site position located in Oneida, NY.
What does a Production Designer do?
- Operate wide-format printers and laminators to produce high-quality signage and graphics.
- Review and preflight supplied art files to ensure they are ready for printing, checking for correct resolutions, color modes, bleed settings and overall quality.
- Modify and adjust artwork as needed to meet print specifications and quality standards.
- Apply vinyl to various substrates using a vinyl application table to produce custom signage.
- Perform weeding (removal of excess vinyl) for intricate designs, ensuring clean and precise finished decals.
- Cut, trim, and assemble vinyl graphics, decals, and other sign materials.
- Ensure all signs are fabricated with precision and attention to detail.

Work Experience
To be successful as a Production Designer, you'll need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, Design, Advertising, or related field is required. A combination of experience and education may be substituted.
- Demonstrate experience with the creation of dimensional signage as well as the working knowledge of print production and pre-press procedures.
- Must have proven strong knowledge of graphic layout and design.
- Must be proficient on PC and Mac based systems and software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
- Working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Word are required.
- Must possess strong organizational skills.
- Must be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment where deadlines are critical.
- Knowledge of sign installation methods.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced print production environment.
- Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 75 lbs.
